- The Board had three meetings in FY 2011. The Board addressed five priority areas and recommendations were made to the Bureau
of Indian Education (BIE). The areas were: Closing the Achievement Gap (Reading and Math), Parent Involvement, Tiered Instruction/RTI,Communication
and Collaboration with Tribes, Transition and Dropout. The BIE Advisory Board also participated in the BIE Data Summit and
were instrumental in defining the criteria for schools levels of determination.
