| Description |
There are sometimes a few proposals which were not funded in their entirety, those few being scaled back from their original
level of requested funding (allowable under the program).

The park has just begun implementing the General Management Plan. Opeing over 41 miles of old ranch roads for use a public
hiking trails occurred in 2009 with significant improvement in points of access occurring in 2010. Extention of hours of use
when lands were available for hiking/ wildlife viewing was changed from 9 - 4:30 to 24 hours per day. Significant progress
is being done for construction of a visitor center and administrative offices that was identified in the 2007 revised GMP.
Contracts for the construction occured in September 2010.
