- No meetings were held in FY 2011. The Commisison terminated January 8, 2011. The C&O Canal National Historical Park Advisory
Commission supports the mission of the park through its deliberation on myriad resource and visitor enjoyment issues facing
the park. These issues range from the creation of the Canal Farm Heritage Center, Canal Quarters and other interpretive and
recreational programs. The Commission has also made recommendations and provided commentary on ARRA projects, resource protection
issues, interpretive and land use concepts such as the Chick Farm and unsolicited proposals such as the one received from
the Renewal Center to develop a medical campus within the national park.
