- The RAC provides perspective on BLM project proposals from varied stakeholder viewpoints and helps to identify opportunities
and challenges that the agency faces. This consensus-based approach can help the public understand BLM's mission and reduce
litigation as plans are refined. The RAC also makes recommendations related to land use planning decisions.NOTE: Although
there were no meetings held in FY11, there were still some associated costs for BLM staff support, to include recruitment
of new members, corrdination of a meeting that was cancelled, and other administrative work.
