The RAC members provide BLM managers with a direct link to constituent groups, providing them with information relating to
BLM's mission. The BLM benefits by hearing constituent opinions directly from members who represent these disparate groups.
The council is balanced to represent the various areas of the BLM's mission, and to represent the geographic area of northeast
California.
