In accordance with Section 1781a of Title 10, U. S. Code, the Military Family Readiness Council provides independent assessment
of the adequacy and effectiveness of the military family readiness programs and activities ofthe Department of Defense. The
Council provides recommendations on how to improve these programs and activities to the Secretary of Defense andCongress in
an annual report no later than February 1 of each year.
