The Secretary of the Navy Advisory Panel provides the Secretary of the Navy and the Department of Defense with independent
advice and recommendations on critical issues facing the Department of the Navy and the Navy Secretariat in the conduct of
the Department's mission. These issues include, but are not limited to, acquisition reform, the shipbuilding defense industrial
base, intelligence organization, and related maritime issues.
