1: Recommandations

This Committee is mandated by the Integrated Coastal and Ocean Observation System Act of 2009. While required by law, this Committee is also necessary to advance NOAA's mission as well as the Interagency Ocean Observing Committee's strategic plan. Ocean observing remains in the President's budget, and is strongly supported by NOAA.
