1: Recommandations

The Committee provides the Secretary of Commerce with expert evaluations and advice from individuals in the private sector and academia with extensive experience in technology commercialization, innovation, and use of technical human resource. Such expertise is not available within the Department of Commerce. Also, the stature of Committee members and the composition of the committee ensures balance, objectivity, and independence to the process.
