- Mission [1]
- To ensure that U.S. civil nuclear commercial interests advance alongside U.S. nonproliferation policy in the new expansion
of nuclear energy, a need exists for consensus advice from U.S. industry to the USG on how U.S. foreign policies, programs,
and activities will affect the U.S. nuclear industry’s competitiveness and ability to participate in the international market.
CINTAC will advise the Secretary of Commerce regarding the development and administration of programs to expand U.S. exports
of civil nuclear goods and services in accordance with applicable U.S. regulations. The Department of Commerce would use this
advice to carry out its activities and in its role as a member of the Trade Promotion Coordinating Committee (TPCC) Working
Group on Civil Nuclear Trade. The CINTAC, comprised of industry representatives, would provide for greater USG and U.S. industry
coordination on international civil nuclear energy issues and on U.S. international and commercial strategic objectives.
