The Committee will act in the public interest to assess: (1) trends and developments in the science and engineering of earthquake
hazards reduction; (2) effectiveness of the Program in carrying out the activities under section 103(a)(2) of the Act; (3)
the need to revise the Program; and (4) the coordination, implementation, and activities of the Program.
