Description For a variety of its own reasons not applicable to the Committee, the agency may implement all/most of the recommendations, but few times recommendations are not implemented. The above approximate percent of recommendations fully implemented is projected from the implementation status of the 58 recommendations produced by CTAC in the past 21 years, from 1989 to 2009. Of the 58 major recommendations, 31 of them were fully implemented into Coast Guard regulations, Navigation and Vessel Inspection Circulars (NVIC), policy guidelines issued to the maritime industry, documents or papers submitted to domestic or international organizations, or other forms of policies documents.
