MMMAC would serve as a nationally standing board of medical specialists and maritime representatives who would provide expert
medical advice to the Coast Guard. MMMAC also anticipate to review work from other agencies' medical advisory boards to recommend
uniform guidelines for medical/functional fitness for operators of commercial vessels.
