- The NSTAC provides industry-based advice and expertise to the President on issues and problems related to implementing national
security and emergency preparedness (NS/EP) communications policy. The NSTAC has addressed a wide range of policy and technical
issues regarding communications, information systems, information assurance, critical infrastructure protection, and other
NS/EP communications concerns. The NSTAC's perspective and its experience with a broad range of Federal departments and agencies
makes the NSTAC a key strategic resource for the President and his national security team in their efforts to protect our
Nation's critical infrastructures in today's dynamic environment. The NSTAC’s current work plan includes a study regarding
Federal Government's intent to migrate data to the cloud and its implications on NS/EP communications.
