Description For a variety of its own reasons not applicable to the Committee, the agency may implement all/most of the recommendations, but few times recommendations are not implemented. Many of the HSINAC recommendations are outside the scope of the HSIN program's control, ie, the recommendation for the Secretary to have the Homeland Security Council designate HSIN as the single national SBU platform for sharing homeland security information. While the HSIN program supports these recommendations, we do not have the ability to implement them. In 2010 the HSIN AC had a meeting at the end of August, as the result of which the committee issued 9 new recommendations. The HSIN program hasn't had time to implement these recommendations as of the close of the fiscal year, which has significantly reduced the percentage of fully implemented recommendations in FY2010 from FY2009.
