Description For a variety of its own reasons not applicable to the Committee, the agency may implement all/most of the recommendations, but few times recommendations are not implemented. In 2009, the CG implemented 3 of the 8 recommendations made by the NMSAC in regards to Seafarer''s Access to Shoreleave.Of the 5 recommendations that were not implemented, one involves a legislative issue that has been overcome by events, and the other four recommendations involve authorities that lie aoutside the USCG. Efforts are underway to engage the other governmental agencies to investigate the recommendations.The committee has fully implemented all other recommendations.
