Conduct and support other law enforcement activities

Prevent child exploitation and ensure effective federal law enforcement training. DHS investigates, disrupts, and dismantles transnational criminal organizations and prosecutes individuals who exploit children and engage in illicit travel for child exploitation. DHS also provides forensic support in accordance with the Violent Crime Reduction Trust Fund legislation (P.L. 103-322, 108 Stat. 1796), the DNA Fingerprint Act of 2005 (P.L. 109-162), and the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006 (P.L. 109-248) (Adam Walsh Act). Additionally, DHS provides law enforcement training for the execution of other non-DHS federal laws and missions.
