Establish Governor‐appointed state service commissions that select and monitor AmeriCorps programs and provide training and resources to Cities of Service. Other Information: The law creating the Corporation and AmeriCorps created a key role for Governors through the establishment of Governor‐appointed state service commissions that select and monitor AmeriCorps programs in their states.
