Administer a video contest as part of AmeriCorps Week.

For the past three years, the Corporation has administered a highly successful video contest as part of AmeriCorps Week. The contest has generated more than 100 videos from AmeriCorps members and alumni, and a photo contest was added in 2009. In addition to raising awareness and building esprit de corps, the contest has produced low‐cost, highyield AmeriCorps recruitment PSAs. The winning videos of the first year’s contest were distributed to 1,200 television stations and have aired more than 38,000 times reaching 589 million viewers worth an equivalent of $5.1 million.
