While the committee made no formal recommendations during FY 2011, the meeting of the committee provided the CFTC with a variety
of international perspectives and produced a number of reports. Historically the committee has served as a forum in which
representives of major interests affected by the work of the CFTC in the international area can provide the CFTC with their
various perspectives on global policy issues within the agency's jurisdiction; and as forum for the agency to obtain information
about international perspectives, for example by means of presentations by foreign derivatives regulators followed by member
discussion of the issues raised.
