INTENDED RESULT Taking into account the results of the work being developed in the framework of the project about the ‘Future Landscape of European Standardization’, the European Standardization System has to reflect changing business needs with a view to contributing to the competitiveness of European industry and supporting the goals of the Lisbon Agenda 2010. Major challenges are the globalization of markets and the convergence of technologies. Furthermore, European standardization has to meet the challenges of innovation and new and emerging technologies.
