- Douglas K. Woods: President: Douglas K. Woods joined AMT as its President in April 2009. Mr. Woods has spearheaded the Manufacturing Mandate
initiative on behalf of the Association to bring attention to the need to incentivize innovation and R&D in new products and
manufacturing technologies, improve global competitiveness, and build a better educated and trained “Smartforce.” He also
has been instrumental in building a better understanding between manufacturing technology builders and distributors that has
led to the merger between AMT and AMTDA – The American Machine Tool Distributors’ Association, and marks the beginning of
a more powerful voice for the industry and an unparalleled scope of benefi ts for AMT’s members. Prior to that, he held a
number of executive positions at several machine tool companies, including President and CEO of Liberty Precision Industries,
and President of Parlec Incorporated. He also held key management positions at Alliance Tool Corporation and its parent company,
Cross & Trecker. Mr. Woods was AMT’s chairman of the Board of Directors in 2005-2006 and served on its Board of Directors
from 2000-2008. Currently, he serves on the Board of Directors for the National Center for Defense Manufacturing & Machining
and the NAM Coalition of Manufacturing Associations. He was also active in the National Tooling & Machining Association and
in 1994 was named Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year for Manufacturing Turnarounds for the Upstate New York area.
- Amber Thomas: Director - Advocacy: Amber Thomas joined AMT’s Advocacy Department in 1987 as a legislative analyst. In this role, Ms. Thomas
helps AMT members build relationships with members of Congress and participate in the policy-making process. Through the years,
she has gained invaluable experience working with elected officials, their staffs and various coalitions and organizations
in Washington, DC promoting the interests of the manufacturing technology industry. She holds a degree in public service and
economics from the Pennsylvania State University.
- Jeffery H. Traver: Vice President - Business Development: Jeffery H. Traver has served as Vice President - Business Development since December
2007. Mr. Traver has 25 years experience leading and supporting business teams, nationally and internationally. This includes
13 years with GE, along with experience working for international firms such as Kärcher, and investment groups such as the
Harbour Group. He has both consumer and industrial products experience including the full scope of business activities from
strategic planning, M&A, product design, logistics, customer relations and sales, through production and delivery. Mr. Traver
has held positions with manufacturing companies from design engineer to COO and has been responsible for organizations with
up to 2,000 employees. * Assists members with business planning, industry contacts, customized research and consultations
with industry experts. * Conducts Business Development Reviews: one-day program tailored for a member company. This is a highly
interactive, consulting and brainstorming session aimed at development of a focused strategy for growth. * Provides web-based
Market Penetration Guide: Focuses on the 20 countries that account more than 85 percent of the global machine tool business.
This includes info on economic trends and forecast, technology needs, business culture, etc. * Leads trade missions to countries
with significant market potential. * Assists in developing relationships with key embassies and consulates worldwide. * Provides
information about specific International trade opportunities. * Staffs information booths and AMT/USA pavilions at major international
trade shows.
- Peter Eelman: Vice President - Exhibitions & Communications: Peter Eelman has been with AMT for 14 years, and has been involved with the
International Manufacturing Technology Show for more than 30 years, first as an exhibitor with Warner & Swasey Co., later
with Toyoda USA and then as a consultant. IMTS is the largest industrial trade show in North America and takes place in Chicago
in even-numbered years. Mr. Eelman is on the Board of Directors of the Exhibitor Appointed Contractor Association and formerly
served on the Board of Directors for the Trade Show Exhibitors Association. He is also a speaker with the International Association
of Exhibitions and Events and serves on the Metropolitan Pier & Exposition Authority Labor Council in Chicago. As the head
of IMTS, Mr. Eelman is the key liaison with the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau, the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition
Authority, McCormick Place and the various vendors, service providers and trade unions involved in the trade show process.
He participated in the recent negotiation that led to historic labor and management reform in Chicago. In addition to IMTS,
he also is prominently involved in international shows that take place in Asia, Europe, South America and elsewhere.
- Linda Montfort: Vice President - Finance & Human Resources: She has been with the association since 1992. In her role as vice president, Linda
manages the activities, staff and output of the Finance & Human Resources Department, in the areas of human resources, finance,
IT, building management and fiscal responsibility. Linda’s previous positions with AMT include 4 years as Human Resources
Manager and 7 years as Payroll/Benefits Manager. In addition to her BS in Finance from The Pennsylvania State University,
Linda holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Management from the George Washington University. Prior to joining AMT, Linda
worked as an accountant with Bankers Finance Investment Management Corporation.
- Steve Lesnewich: Vice President - Industry Engagement: Steve Lesnewich has over 30 years of experience in the machine tool industry including
positions in marketing, regional sales, sales and marketing and at the executive level at leading industry brands including
Marubeni Citizen, SMW Systems, Doosan Infracor, Samsung, and the AMTDA.
- Christine Rasul: Vice President - Meetings and Conferences: Christine T. Rasul is responsible for all global meetings, conferences, housing
and events. Currently she serves on the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau Advisory Board and serves on several hotel advisory
committees. Before joining AMT 20 years ago in the Information Technology Department, Ms. Rasul had her own manufacturing
company in Trinidad. Her experience also includes international marketing, purchasing and negotiating.
- Greg Jones: Vice President - Smartforce Development: In his role as Vice President - Smartforce Development, Greg Jones will be linking
manufacturing and education to bring qualified career candidates into the industry, as well as improve the knowledge and skills
of the existing workforce. Mr. Jones has served the machine tool/manufacturing industry for over twenty-five years by beginning
his career in media and publishing.
- Patrick McGibbon: Vice President - Strategic Information & Research: As Vice President - Strategic Information & Research, Patrick W. McGibbon
oversees the production of benchmarking surveys for manufacturing technology, the development and maintenance of AMT members’
market intelligence database. He leads a team of AMT analysts, research specialists and economists in providing analysis of
the global manufacturing technology markets and producing the estimates of market activity in discrete product markets. Mr.
McGibbon joined AMT in this role in 1992 after working at the U.S. Department of Commerce for five years. There he served
as an industry analyst providing insight, trade agreements, trade shows and special trade promotion programs such as the U.S.
- Japan Cooperation Program. The US-JCP was a market access program introduced to identify and overcome non-tariff barriers
to U.S. exports to Japan. He mentored three of the 25 companies in the program which proved to be highly successful in providing
those 25 companies access to the Japanese market and identifying obstacles for the U.S. and Japanese governments to resolve.
Mr. McGibbon was the assistant director of the National Machine Tool Builders’ Association (NMTBA) Statistical Department
prior to joining the Commerce Department. NMTBA was the predecessor to AMT. He currently serves on the Industry Trade Advisory
Committee on Automotive and Capital Goods issues (ITAC 2) as an advisor on international trade issues.
- Paul Warndorf: Vice President - Manufacturing Technology: Paul R. Warndorf ... is responsible for activities related to research and development,
standards, and review of machine tool industry technology needs. He serves on the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA
79) Committee and is past chairman of the U.S. Department of Commerce Materials Processing Equipment Technical Advisory Committee
(MPETAC). He is also the administrator of the MTConnect® Institute and serves on the Board of Directors for the Institute.
Mr. Warndorf has diverse experience as technical director and manufacturing and engineering manager in corporate and government
environments. His experience includes designing manufacturing systems, managing technical investigations, and creating development
plans. His current work includes the management of the development of the MTConnect® open standard for shop floor communication.

* Advises on technology trends, Research and Development (R&D) opportunities and funding sources, etc. * Sponsors and participates

- Advanced Workholding Technology (AWT) Group & Committee: AWT - Advanced Workholding Technology Group The Advanced Workholding Technology (AWT) group is devoted to: * Developing and
implementing programs to increase communication within the workholding industry, end users and with machine tool builders
* Working with established organizations in the development of engineering standards and to improve product safety * Accessing
engineering and sales data pertinent to workholding design and manufacturing. Participation in the group provides an excellent
way to meet and communicate with industry peers and to promote programs for increasing communication among machine builders,

- Distribution Working Group: The Distribution Working Group (DWG) provides a forum to AMT members whose companies focus on the sales & service of manufacturing

and in person each year to provide staff direction in creating services and produces an annual conference each Fall.

- Show Committee: The committee advises AMT on the policies, organization, planning, promotion and operations for this biennial show, and is

- Smartforce Development Committee: The Smartforce Development Committee will establish policy and direction for AMT that will allow our industry to work with
educators to assure that funding and programs are available to sufficiently educate young people in Science, Technology, Engineering,
and Mathematics (STEM) so that a consistent flow of qualified, skilled, critical thinking individuals are attracted to seek
careers in manufacturing. Smartforce development is an important component of the AMT Manufacturing Mandate. We are currently
seeking AMT members to join the Smartforce Development Committee. Members will have a passion for and experience in implementing

- Technology Issues Committee: The committee reviews and periodically updates the "Technology Roadmap for the Machine Tool Industry" publication, to ensure
that the current needs of users are recorded as an aid in the product development process. The committee also assists AMT
staff in establishing positions on technical issues related to the Export Administration Act so that lists of controlled products
will not become burdensome and outdated. Committee participation provides the opportunity for firsthand exposure to current
projects and ongoing work related to manufacturing equipment technology. Participants also assist in guiding AMT activities
with respect to technical issues and in providing recommended priorities for action. Committee meetings provide a forum for
dialogue with engineers in the industry or from universities and laboratories.
